MODUM House is a manufacturer of modular buildings, saunas and modular houses, innovative, technological and of the highest quality controlled in the factory.
Materials and Sustainability
Material selection has always been essential in the way we create. Selecting the best materials for our saunas has always been a priority for us, ensuring an exceptional finish and the longevity of the sauna. All the materials we use perform well over time, age gracefully and align with our responsibility to minimise our environmental impact. We prioritise sourcing close to home, and each sauna is hand-crafted using only materials chosen for their character, durability and provenance.
The wood we use in our structures and constructions has been chosen with great care. The glulam is manufactured at one of the best factories in the world. Then processed on our own machinery in the factory.
Thermowood is made possible by thermal modification – a chemical-free process that heats the wood to 210°C, permanently altering its cellular structure. This improves stability and durability, reduces movement and creates a rot-resistant material suitable for the heat, humidity and temperature changes specific to a sauna environment. The result is wood that is designed to withstand external conditions for decades.
Thermally modified wood was originally developed for sauna construction in Northern Europe and remains widely appreciated for its performance in high-temperature environments.
For insulation, we use natural wood fiber, produced in Germany. In addition to its excellent thermal properties for quality insulation, the fiber is breathable, naturally fireproof and completely biodegradable.
The screws and joints are made with quality parts from the best manufacturers in Germany, Italy. For the interior we use only stainless steel screws.

Who are we?
MODUM House is a modular design and construction company that is fully finished in our factory and transported to customers on trailers. Production of outdoor saunas, creating exceptional wellness spaces for private and commercial clients in Romania and all over Europe.
In our factory in Oradea, we design and manufacture both custom saunas from our Collection, with carefully thought-out personalized options, and completely customized orders. Each project is carefully conceived, meticulously built and sensitively integrated into its setting – whether it is a country estate, a coastal retreat, a townhouse or a contemporary home.
We work with natural materials, Glulam from Austria, Thermowood from Germany and Belgium. We use modern machinery for precision carpentry and timeless design principles – and we do not skimp.
We believe that true luxury is tranquility – it is found in the integrity of materials, the quality of craftsmanship and spaces that feel solid, calm and built to last. Our saunas are designed to function beautifully, age gracefully, and provide meaningful restoration for years to come.

MODULAR SYSTEM
The modular system at the heart of our projects allows our clients to start with a house with a few modules and, if necessary, expand it later. We’ve standardized all the house’s elements and created an interchangeable, high-tech kit that allows for easy modernization and renovation of the living space. This allows the home to grow with the family over time.
The core concept of our technology is to offer people a quickly assembled home made from high-quality, prefabricated components.
