THERMOWOOD

PROTECTED BY NATURE

THERMOWOOD®

– Naturally enhanced wood using only heat and steam

ThermoWood® can be used indoor and outdoor, for cladding, decking, furniture or as an accent wall in your interior. Our thermally modified wood can be easily installed. You can find some types of wood below.

FRAKÉ

Whereas untreated fraké is more likely to be light yellow to dark brown, thermally modified fraké takes on a warm, nutty colour. The robust colour combined with the typical lines make fraké planks very eye-catching as facade cladding and perfect for enthusiasts of distinctive wood. Fraké has a Janka hardness of 640.

AYOUS

ThermoWood Ayous is a softwood with a tropical appearance.  Thanks to the chemical-free thermal process, Ayous becomes an excellent alternative to tropical hardwood, featuring a warm, even appearance and high weather resistance.

With a Janka hardness of 430, ThermoWood Ayous most closely resembles clear Western Red Cedar in terms of appearance, density and workability.

ASH

Thermally modified ash products are a hardwood solution combining exceptional rot resistance and longevity with a clean surface and a rich brown color. Thermo-ash is extremely durable (with a class 1 rating for 25+ years’ protection against wood decay), highly valuable and a sustainable alternative to tropical wood species.

ALDER

We use alder to produce a variety of materials and products for interiors and saunas, available in thermally modified or natural wood with a choice of smooth or brushed finishes. Alder is a tough, water-repellent wood that doesn’t overheat, making it ideal for use in saunas.

ASPEN

We offer a number of elements for interiors and saunas in both natural and thermally modified aspen. The wood’s distinctive light tone and smooth texture give it an attractive look and make it perfect for painting.
